All Night Bowling - October 1st

On Tuesday, October 1st, many members of the Rotaract club made their way to the ceramics building on the upper half of campus to create bowls for the Empty Bowls event. At the All Night Bowling event, volunteers would take bowls that were created by the art students and paint them however they wished. The art students would then fire the bowls in the kiln and save them for Empty Bowls. We had a great showing at the All Night Bowling, but due to conflicts did not have any members attend Empty Bowls. We did, however, hear that it was a huge success and that they sold out of bowls, bread, and drinks by 5pm. Between the 12pm-1pm hour they had 400 people attend, each paying $5. We feel so proud that we could contribute with the creation of these bowls and help this wonderful cause!
